Think your team can beat the Saints? Put your Blog where your mouth is!!!



I've noticed that some of my fellow bloggers are also football fans...and I thought it would be fun to "wager" on the games this year. My idea is that I'll take one fan per game (listed below) and we can have a bit of friendly rivalry - maybe the losing team would put a picture of the winning team's logo prominently on their blog for a week, or trade a book or if you have a better idea I'm always open to suggestions...

You'd need to have a blog (for obvious reasons), trash talking is okay (keep it clean) and I reserve the right to tweak the "rules" if something comes up... I'll probably put up a quickie post sometime during the week before the game noting who we're playing and which blogger is backing the other team.

So, does anyone think their team can beat the Superbowl Champions? WHO DAT???!!!! Put your blog where your mouth is and leave me a comment or send an e-mail to bookaddictpatti at cox dot net. I'll take one challenger per game, and fill in the names/blog on this post as they come up. Anyone else is welcome to stop by and cheer for your favorite team :)

If this "meme" takes off, we can talk about playoffs when we get a wee bit closer :)

  1. OK, well. I love this idea. My team (the Redskins) almost beat the Saints last year, but are terminally awful. So no, I won't go up against your Saints.

    But y'all better look out for Green Bay this year. They are gonna be all kinds of nasty.

  3. I love this idea! I am a huge fan of the Raiders!!! I grew up watching them because my dad did, so it just stuck with me! Say what you want, but dang those butts look good in black and silver!

  4. Packers fan here. Good luck to your boys this season. I really have no idea how my boys will do but I agree with Amy J - only substitute green and gold for black and silver :D

  5. I take the Saints. Saints Saints Saints for all of the WINS!!!! Yippie. Good idea. That is of course if we lose a game and I were to have to put up say.... a FALCONS logo on my blog. Or worse VIKINGS.

    Favre on the ground...Favre on the ground. Hee hee. I like 'em but we still gonna beat 'em.

  8. this sounds like loads of fun!! Unfortunately my team is not on the list, and yes your Saints beat them in the Superbowl last year! :(

    I'm from Atlanta, so I could technically root for the Dirty Bird, but I could really care less if they won or loss unless they are playing the Colts or Broncs. And I don't think there is any way that I would put them against the Saints.

  11. You know I am there to support ya honey. ((((I am the College fan... LSU baby!!!))) But... I will take pride in my state team!! Okay... Now to steal it from you and make a touchdown at my place with your little icon!!! =)

    And guess what.... next weekend is almost here!!!! yayayayya!!! And LSU plays at 7 on ABC... against North Carolina....
